I have heard someone express the greatest wealth we will ever experience in our lives is having a healthy body, a peaceful mind and having the right people in our lives.
We will examine this statement in the light of God's word.
The first point of the statement is 'having a healthy body.' It is a blessing to have a healthy body, but then, does that count as great wealth? What about those who are born without a healthy body, or is suffering from a serious illness, or been in a tragic accident? I would say that many times when we go through suffering, it is not because of something that we did to deserve it. Rather, I would say that through suffering we seek God. "But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you." Matthew 6:33 KJV
The second point of the statement is 'having a peaceful mind.' There is only one lasting peace found in having Jesus Christ in our lives. "And the peace of God which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:7 KJV
The third point of the statement is 'having the right people in our lives.' Yes, it is important to have those who believe in having God in our lives, and that means everyday. Even when we may be surrounded by godless lives, we can still keep our testimony and show them by example that God is the most important to us.
Therefore, the greatest wealth worth having is, the peace of God.
